When strong science is not enough
Across many projects, we observed a recurring challenge: promising ideas and strong science often stall not because of technical failure, but because research activities, funding strategies, and business developments efforts are not sufficiently aligned. Preclinical studies are initiated without a clear decision framework, funding is pursued without adequate positioning, and partnerships are explored without a coherent strategy connecting them to long-term objectives.
These challenges are amplified in early-stage environments. Limited budgets, incomplete internal expertise, and a fragmented external landscape make it difficult for teams to determine which steps truly move their project forward. When decisions are take in isolation, the result is often inefficiency, delay, or loss of credibility with investors, funders, and partners.
Why we exist
PROMAFUN CRIO exists to bridge these gaps.
We operate as a strategic partner and Contract Research Intermediary (CRI), supporting companies in aligning preclinical research, dilutive and non-dilutive funding, and business development into a coherent development pathway. Our role is not to replace execution partners, but to ensure that research activities, funding efforts, and commercial outreach are designed to reinforce one another.
